DISCIPLINA is a multifunctional blockchain for projects in the educational and recruiting spheres.
We have developed the blockchain architecture to ensure the maintenance of confidentiality and reliability of information added by system participants.

🔹Educational institutions and students add the data; witnesses check the validity, and recruiters are offered to get paid access to the information on the academic history and achievements of the students. Thus, the platform has two layers in its architecture: private and public. The private layer includes educational institutions and students and stores the private information. The public layer includes witnesses and recruiters.

🔹The private layer does not allow any data except hashes to open access. The public layer allows into open access the data that verifies the integrity of the private chains and the reliability of the data stored by the network.

🔹The student can wholly or partially deny access to his data. Such data is stored in the private chains of educational institutions.

🔹Witnesses check the validity of the segments within the private blockchains of the educational institutions. They manage a public chain of blocks on which data created within each school is hashed. The witnesses don`t have access to the data itself, only to the hashes of the data. The witnesses use Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm. Recruiters are offered to get paid access to data on the academic history and achievements of the students.

🔹To avoid connection to any central organization that would tackle fake educational institutions, we integrate an intrinsic reputation mechanism Web of Trust into the core of our architecture by analogy with PGP. Thus, any user can select members he trusts and express an opinion on the others’ ability to access skills.

In this case, the trust level is determined for each user individually. The introduction of such a network will make it possible to get away from central organizations with an unlimited right to register or refuse to register educational institutions.
