🌌DISCIPLINA changes the vision🌌
The former DISCIPLINA vision was a custom public chain. We used a blockchain with own architecture, designed specifically for our tasks. To do that we have to solve lots of issues:
🔹Complexity of technical development
🔹Development of infrastructure and tooling like wallets, integrations with exchanges, monitorings, applications…
🔹Competition with well-adopted solutions.
🌌Exploring Disciplina’s Multi-chain Capabilities — Can We Use Cardano?🌌
As the first ever blockchain to create verified personal profiles based on academic and professional achievements, our current technical goals are:
💥To transfer the existing Disciplina infrastructure from the custom public chain
💥To abstract the off-chain functionality (of submitting and validating proofs) from the particular blockchain platform to be able to first launch Disciplina on the established smart contract platform (ETH/BSC) first and extend to Cardano later
💥To repurpose the existing Disciplina infrastructure to a new vision for Disciplina (aiming at lots of small educators)
The answer to using Cardano is YES, but given its currently poor documentation and tooling, we see our bridge to them coming at a later stage of the year.
🌌Our Vision Changed. Our Mission Didn’t.🌌
We would like to point out that our focus has always been and remains entirely on education! What we are looking to do is to adjust our infrastructure for our new vision — one that aims for a large number of small educators. After all, it’s each and every individual that makes the difference! The adjustments for our vision include, among others:
🔺A remodel of the Multi-Educator app for small educator purposes
🔺A simplified Educator registration process
🔺The ability to choose a public chain backend in the interface
🔺The update of the Validator app for multi-chain purposes
🔺The development of the unified HTTP Backend proxy for Disciplina Validator and Multi-Educator
🔺The development of contracts and off-chain contract backends for ETH/BSC

We are now shifting our focus towards established public networks, in order to make the DISCIPLINA platform more accessible and convenient for our users, as well as to facilitate swift implementation of technical innovations with various DeFi opportunities.
